Specific Skills
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing residential heating systems, as well as repairing and servicing gas appliances for our customers. You’ll also play an important role in educating clients about the safe use and maintenance of their home comfort equipment. Class B Gas Fitters may be required to install new appliances, perform start-ups, and make adjustments to newly installed or repaired equipment. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, a good memory, and a commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities include accurately processing repair work for customer heating systems while completing all work to the highest standards. You’ll be expected to maintain up-to-date records to satisfy B.C. Safety Authority requirements, and track in-truck parts to maintain proper stock levels.
Transportation & Equipment
BC Furnace equips all service vehicles with GPS-Tracking, and all service trucks carrying over $35,000 worth of furnace parts and equipment. This allows you to handle most repairs on the first visit, reducing the need for return trips and providing better service to customers.
Languages
BC Furnace serves a multicultural community across the Lower Mainland. English fluency is required, but additional languages are incredibly valuable to our customers who appreciate being able to communicate comfortably.
